Why is my rangefinder 10-15 yards short?

Your rangefinder is most likely measuring in meters instead of yards. Look in the bottom right-hand corner of the display. If you see the letter M instead of Y, it is in meters.

Instructions for getting your rangefinder in the correct distance settings for each model:

  • NX10/NX10 Slope: Make sure the screen is off, then press and hold the POWER button for five seconds to change between yards and meters. You will see a Y in the bottom right-hand corner for Yards and a M for Meters.
  • NX9 Slope 2.0:  Make sure the screen is off, then press and hold the POWER button for five seconds to change between yards and meters. You will see a Y in the bottom right-hand corner for Yards and a M for Meters.
  • NX7 Pro: Make sure the screen is off, then press and hold the green POWER button for ten seconds to change between yards and meters. You will see a Y in the bottom right-hand corner for Yards and a M for Meters.
  • R1 Smart Rangefinder: Ensure your rangefinder is on and in laser mode (not in GPS mode). Then press and hold the MODE button for six seconds until the Yards/Meters indicator changes fromY to M, or vice versa.
